Community Service Day at Junior Achievement Biztown

When:  May 13, 2019 from 08:15 AM to 02:30 PM (CT)
Associated with  Minneapolis Chapter
Spend the day with IMA members while we mentor middle school children on how to run a business and their personal finances.  This will be our fourth year as volunteers.

Arrive at 8:15 for volunteer training.  The Twin Bluff Middle School children will arrive at 9:15 and depart at 1:45.  Wear comfortable shoes.  Bring your own water bottle or other beverage.  We are not allowed to leave the building for lunch, so bring your own or plan on joining us at Augustine's for a late lunch afterwards!

If you have volunteered before, please note that they moved to St Paul.  They are no longer in Maplewood.  Enter through the main door of the building and check in at the main floor desk.  Onsite parking is limited. Please consider carpooling or taking public transportation.  Parking info here.

Registration is a two step process.  Register on Eventbrite so we at IMA know you are coming.  Second, register as a volunteer on the Junior Achievement site.  This is required of all JA volunteers.

STEP 1

Complete the Volunteer Registration Form

Please reference the school name and date where asked. Make sure to electronically sign and date the Code of Conduct and Social Media Policy.

STEP 2

Review the JA BizTown Volunteer Manual

This includes helpful information about your day.

STEP 3

Watch the five Volunteer Training Videos

These short videos will explain your role as a volunteer and how the day works.

STEP 4

Attend the Mandatory Onsite Volunteer Training

Come to JA BizTown on your assigned day and time listed above. JA Staff will do an orientation before students arrive.

Late lunch/networking to follow at Augustine's Bar and Bakery.
